Ranee Lee - I Love You Porgy & Summertime

On Monday September 22nd, Juno winner and member of the Order of Canada, Ranee Lee, kicks off our Sound of Jazz Concert Series at the Old Mill Toronto, performing material from her latest album What's Going On.

On What's Going On, Lee tackles a wide variety of material from paying tribute to her Jamaican heritage with Bob Marley's "One Love" to a cover of Leon Russell's "A Song For You" and of course, a version of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" which serves as the title track.

To get you in the mood for the show, and so that you can see just how amazing Ranee Lee is, check out this video of her singing I Love You Porgy and Summertime from a Billie Holiday Tribute.
